Good learning should help people feel confident rather than overwhelmed. For more than 20 years, that belief has guided my work across post-secondary education.

At the centre of my work is a deep care for the learner experience. I tend to ask simple questions: What does someone actually need to know? Where might they get stuck? And how can we make this easier to understand without making it less meaningful?

Having spent years in the classroom, I understand the practical realities of teaching and the gap between a great idea on paper and what actually works with learners. Technology gives us exciting ways to bridge that gap, and I enjoy finding the right approach for the people and learning goals involved. What I care about most is creating thoughtful learning experiences that make learning a little easier.
